Although our days are timetabled and planned this does not mean we are not flexible. Spontaneous play is an important part of children’s learning and can always be accommodated. We will utilise the weather conditions to their full and anything the children are interested in we will go along with.

clothing & kit list
For Health and Safety it is essential that your child is equipped properly EVERY DAY they attend, especially in Winter. The more layers a child has on the warmer they will be and the more they will enjoy their time at Natural Nurture. Please note that children WILL NOT be allowed to stay if they are inadequately equipped. Please follow the kit list below.
We also ask that you label all of your child’s personal belongings.

Policies and Procedures
All our parents/carers need to be aware of our policies and procedures, as they have been implemented to ensure safe and secure running of our holiday clubs for children, staff, parents/carers. All our policies and procedures are located online at http://naturalnurture.org/policies/
Change of personal details
Natural Nurture kindly requests that any changes of personal contact details
are communicated to the operations manager at your earliest convenience. Accurate contact details are vital in case of emergency of if your child becomes ill.
If your child becomes ill?
We will call you if your child becomes unwell. We keep them comfortable until you arrive. We always have a qualified pediatric first-aider on the staff rota.
If your child is ill at home, please contact us to let us know that your child won’t be attending. Please keep your child away for 48 hours if they have sickness and/or diarrhea to avoid passing it on to other children and staff. Sickness passed on to staff can affect our ability to stay open so please be considerate.
Who can come to the club?
We are registered with Ofsted to take children who are 2yrs through to 8yrs of age.
My child needs extra help; can they still come to the club?
Yes. All children deserve a fab time at Natural Nurture. We can change what we
do to suit your child, within the normal ratios. If your child has additional needs please call and speak to our INCO (Inclusion Coordinator) so we can discuss their individual care.
Who are your staff and what are the staff to child ratios?
We head up an enthusiastic team of well-trained staff, brimming with imaginative ideas for nature-based fun in our spacious countryside setting. Naturally they are all cleared by the Disclosures and Barring Service at the Enhanced Level.
For children aged 3 to 8 years the staff to child ratio is 1:8. For children aged 2 years the staff to child ratio is 1:4. We employ one member of staff who holds a full relevant childcare degree, which means that for children 3 to 8 years they can have a ratio of 1:12. We also have extra staff to cover break times so children are properly supervised at all times.
What happens if it rains?
We try to embrace the full variety of our unpredictable British weather! We make sure our timetable is flexible to enable us to be outside in the sunshine and sheltered when the weather challenges us the most. However, you can be sure your child will have lots of opportunity to experience and enjoy rain and mud! Please, please make sure your children are well kitted out with boots and waterproofs and bring a change of clothes for any unforeseen tumbles in puddles!
What shouldn’t my child bring to the holiday club?
We strongly advise that children don’t bring mobile telephones, watches, computer games, iPods, toys or accessories to the holiday club. They are often mislaid, as children are busy and excited doing other things. Staff cannot accept responsibility if items are lost, stolen or damaged.
My child has a specific medical condition. Do I need to tell you?
Yes – please tell us anything we need to know about your child’s health when you make your booking e.g. diabetes, epilepsy, serious allergies etc. In some cases we may need to get additional information from you regarding your child’s needs. The more information you provide us with, the better care we can provide for your child.
What if my child is ill or has an accident at the holiday club?
Qualified first aiders deal with accidents and illnesses. Fortunately almost everything we have to deal with are grazes on knees, stings and so on. However should a child suffer a more serious injury or fall ill at the holiday club you will be contacted immediately.
What if my child is ill and cannot attend the holiday club?
In fairness to others we can’t accept children at the holiday club if they’re ill. Please let us know if they have recently had an illness or condition in case they are still infectious. If a child requires medication while at the holiday club, please supply it in a well-labeled container and sign a consent form.
